Travon and I were becoming very distant although we lived together and we still did things together as a couple. The love that we once shared was slowly starting to fade. I didn't like that we were starting to pull away from each other but all I knew was that I was going to do everything in my power to make us strong again. Travon and I never argued except for once every six months and sometimes not even then.
Before I had the surgery we started arguing more than normal. I tried to understand how he was feeling as well. I knew that I had been sick a lot and I could see that he was not handling the fact that I was sick. What I didn't understand was why he didn't know that I was sickly when he knew before we had got together that I was sickly then.
The day that I went into the hospital, to have surgery, I had noticed that Travon was real quiet and didn't have much to say. I was almost like he was not supportive at all. Like he just didn't care. I didn't want to think that he didn't care so I told myself that he was tired. When I got out of surgery that afternoon I slept a lot but every time I would open my eyes i could see that Elenor was there but Travon was not. When Travon got to the hospital he seemed kind of irritated. I asked him where he was, he got angry and told me that he had stuff to do. I didn't say anything because I couldn't get angry. The last time I had surgery like this I got angry and busted my stitches apart and they had to come and re-stitch me but this time I as awake. I was not going to have that done again, when he started talking to me crazy, I just tuned him out hit my medicine button and went back to sleep.

Don't give a man all of you, save some for yourself
My grandmother use to tell me to make sure that I kept a spare because you never knew when you good thang was going to have a blow out. All my life I lived by this especially when I realized that men couldn't be trusted. I gave a lot of myself to these men but I could never truly give them all of me because I knew that it wouldn't last. Every true relationship that I had, I wanted it to work out. I've been engaged so many times, but after being with a person after so many years they start to show their true colors.
People think that I cant commit or that I am scared of commitment but it's not that at all. The truth is that I can commit but men can't commit themselves to me. The men in my life loved me but they were not in love with me they were in love with my sweet candy apple. They could not love me enough to honestly make me their wife. I was not always their first priority and if I couldn't be their first priority I knew that I could not marry them. My belief for marriage is very strong and I don't believe in divorce. I feel like when two people make that commitment before God anything can be worked out. That's the reason why I haven't been married because I didn't want to marry for all the wrong reasons. When I get married it will be strictly because I love that person unconditionally just for who they are.

The move to Dallas
Going to Dallas was not an easy move but I knew that it was the best thing for me. Maybe now I could settle down and turn my life around. I was ready to leave Kansas, but was I completely ready to turn my life around and get out of the fast life? Only time was going to tell.
The day we arrived in Texas I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but this was going to be home for a while, and I was determined that I wasn't going back. When we got on the highway headed to Texas I never looked back and I knew that I was headed to a brighter future.
When we arrived we were on a time schedule and we hit Texas in rush hour traffic. We had been coming to Texas on a regular basis looking for a place to stay. I got lost and was right down the street from the apartment. I looked in the my rear view mirror and noticed that Travon was no longer behind us. I didn't know what was going on because I never saw him get off the freeway. I had fifteen minutes to get to the apartments to pick up the keys or else we were going to have to stay in a hotel. We had already spent too much money on the move and I was not going to spend money that we did not have to spend. I found the apartment, ran in signed the lease and got the keys. I did a walk through of the apartment because I had to wait for the truck to arrive because it was wondering around Texas somewhere.

You have my interest
I run upstairs and finish getting dressed as I listen to the radio and dance around the room. I walk downstairs like I am the Queen of England and strut my stuff. Tyrone is looking at me like he can just eat me up and I am glad to see the look on his face. It has been a really long time since I had a man look at me like this. Normally when men look at me I feel like I am being raped. It's almost like they are looking through my clothes.
I see what he has prepared for us and notice that it is some hors d'oeuvres. Either this man really enjoys cooking or he is just giving this his all. We finish the hors d'oeuvres and the drinks that he has prepared for us before we go out on our official first date.
We are leaving the house and I see Calvin coming down the street. I act like I don't even see him and we continue to go our way. I am not going to ruin whatever this could be with Tyrone for Calvin. He is definitely not worth it.
Tyrone has made reservations at the La Chance Restaurant which is really impressive especially since this is a five star restaurant. Good thing that I am dressed to kill but I know that if I wasn't he would've told me to go change clothes.
This man really has class and I am loving this about him. We have great conversation for hours. We laugh and talk the night away and just enjoy each others company. He is really showing his interest in getting to know who I am as a person.
While having dinner, I find out more about him and he finds out more about me. This night is going better than I thought it would. I didn't think that I would be feeling this way after just meeting this man last night. There is something about him that is really catching my attention. Hopefully this is something that will turn into long term and not just some silly phase. I will not open my heart to this man just yet. He will have to earn that but I am going to let things flow and keep my options open and ready to fall in love. That true kind of love that every woman yearns for.
We finish our dinner date and decide to head back home to have a night cap and continue our conversation. I enjoy talking to this man. He has so much to say and I am interested in hearing it all.

Is he a stalker?
I clean up my house take a nice long hot bath and then call him. He answers the phone and he sounds like something is terribly wrong. “Hey baby, are you okay? I have been trying to call you to make sure that you made it home safely. I was worried about you,” he say. I am glad to know that he was worried about me, in fact I am really flattered. Could this really be the one for me? I say to myself as he is talking to me. We agree to meet for dinner tonight because he says that he needs to see me. We finish our conversation and I continue on my day.
Not sure of what to wear after looking in my closet for over an hour; I decide to call Kinni, Leigha and Destiny and have a girls day out. We go to the mall to do a little shopping to see if I can find something cute to wear. When we leave the mall we decide to go to lunch and have a couple of drinks. When we have drinks, sometimes we seem to get a little crazy but its all in good fun.
After having lunch we decide to go to the spa and have some relaxation to end our day. After having our massages, waxes and facials we end our day and say our good byes. I go home and prepare myself for Tyrone.
This man has some mystery about him and I want to be prepared for whatever he has planned for us. Something tells me that we are not just going to be having dinner.
I run me some bath water and decide that I better take the edge off just in case I really don't want to give this man any of my sweetness, and if I should happen to, just in case that he can't rock my world at least I will have some kind of relief. I grab my vibrator and head for the bathroom. I turn off the running water and get in the tub and turn on the jets. I can feel the water hitting against my skin. I close my eyes, lay back and enjoy the warmness of the water and the soft melody of Marvin Gaye playing softly in the background. Slowly sinking down in the tub I open my legs and I can feel the vibration from the jets. I'm just about to get deep into it and I vaguely hear the ringing of the doorbell. I open my eyes for a second because I must be tripping, but then I hear it again. I could go open it but I'm right where I need to be. I figure if it is important they will either stay until I finish or they will leave, but at this moment all I can think about doing is finishing what I started. I continue to listen to Marvin Gaye and feel the water and the vibration up against my skin. I continue to play with my candy until I'm ready to explode. I can hear the soft sound of the music and the deeper I am getting into it, I can see all the things that I want Tyrone to do to my body. The more I see it, the wetter I am becoming. I am almost ready to explode. I can hear the softness of his voice whispering in my ear, telling me to give it to him, to give it all to him. At this moment all I want to do is give it all to him and I lay back and give him all of my sweet candy. I start to explode. I finish taking myself to ecstasy and I lay back in the tub to see if whoever was ringing my doorbell is still there or if they have left.
Five minutes later I hear the doorbell ring again. Getting pissed off I jump out the tub, dry off and throw on my robe and run down the stairs to see who is ringing my doorbell. Opening the door, with an attitude, I see Tyrone standing there looking oh so good. “You're early babe,” I say in shock. “I know that I am but I couldn't wait to see you. I had to see that pretty smile and those sparkling eyes.” “Okay, okay you don't have to continue, I get the point.” In the back of my mind I think that this is going to be a problem because now I'm really scared that this man is a stalker for sure. I think that this is weird as hell, but I try to give him the benefit of the doubt and just say that this man is really nice.
“Make yourself comfortable, I have to finish getting dressed,” I say to him.
I go back upstairs and call Kinni to tell her what is going on. She starts to laugh and tells me to make sure that I get his license tag number and his legal first and last name. While she is trying to make jokes I have this strange man downstairs walking around in my house. I tell Kinni that I don't have time for jokes to go get her pen and paper because I am about to go out on my balcony, off of my bedroom, and give her this information. Just in case I come up missing or she hasn't heard from me by morning.
Kinni starts to laugh and tells me to go get the information. I go out on the balcony and walk around looking in every window hoping that he doesn't see or hear me. I get the information and give it to Kinni and go back in the house to finish getting dressed. I am getting dressed and I can smell something cooking. Before I put on my dress I throw my robe back on and go downstairs to see what is cooking.
Tyrone has informed me that as long as it is taking me to get dressed he has decided to fix me a snack before dinner. I am honored that he is thinking about me like this. I am hungry. I realize that he is stepping up his game. He leans over and kisses me like he is never going to see me again and he tells me that he will be right here waiting on his queen to finish getting dressed. I feel all giddy inside but it feels good to have a brother think of me as his queen.

Could this be the one?
Tyrone's arms are cuddly and comforting. Laying in Tyrone's arms makes me feel safe and secure. I feel like he will protect me from harm. I don't want to get up for anything in the world and if I could just lay here forever, I would. No man has ever made me feel special like this before. It has always been about money to me and sex for them. This go around I want to try something different and see if I can really find that true love. Someone that will love me for me and it will not be about money or sex. I know that when we make that commitment to one another we will be great friends and great together. We will be an unstoppable team.
When we went to sleep we were on the couch and now I wake up in the bed and I can smell something cooking. “What is that smelling so good?” I ask myself. I sit on the side of the bed and try to wake up. I go to the bathroom to wash up a little bit and the aroma from the food that he is cooking is smelling good and has my stomach growling. I walk downstairs and I see him cooking and singing, like he has just won the lottery or something good has happened to him that he never hears me come into the kitchen. I stand there for a while and watch him dance, cook and sing to himself. He spins around and notice me standing there. Startled, he slightly tips over because he didn't know that I was up. Grabbing a hold to the counter, trying to regain his balance, we start to laugh. I am glad that this man at least has a sense of humor. I need someone in my life that I can laugh and joke with. Someone that will get my jokes and I will get his. Someone that is not afraid to laugh at his self. This is a great change from the brothers that I have been seeing lately with this dry ass sense of humor. Tyrone is a breath of fresh air. If he stays like this I know that he will be the perfect man for me.
He finishes cooking and prepares our plates. We sit and have dinner and watch the game together. This is not something that he is use to. The women that had come in and out of his life was not into sports and they did everything in their power to keep him from his sports. The one thing that I know is that no matter what you do, you can't keep a man away from his sports. If he is going to watch it or play it, that is what he is going to do and there is nothing that is going to stop him. You either join him and get with the program or you can argue fuss and fight. Which is really just a waste of time, effort and energy. I believe that if you really love someone, you support them at whatever they do, no matter if you like it or not. You never know, the thing that you think you don't like, can be the thing that you enjoy doing most. I chose to join them a long time ago. Now I almost beat them to the television.
I am glad that Tyrone and I actually have a lot in common. I never have a problem with getting a man I always have a problem with keeping a man and getting rid of a man. This man however, for some reason, I feel like he is different than all the rest.
After eating and watching a good game of football I know that I need to go home and take care of some things at my own house. I don't want to leave him but I know that I have to because if I don't I will never get anything done. I gather my things and we say our goodbyes. He kisses me on the forehead and tells me what a wonderful time he has had and he wants to see me really soon. I turn to look at him and smile, and tell him that I will call him. He give me the strangest look, like he had just been treated like a hoe,but it didn't bother me because men have been treating women like hoes and bitches for years, now he feels how we have been feeling for years.
I laugh all the way home because I can just imagine what he is thinking. I arrive at the house and I can tell that someone has been here, but I figure that it is just Calvin coming by trying to figure out where in the world I had run off too last night. I was having such a good time with Tyrone that I wasn't even thinking about Calvin or what he was doing. Having such a great time with Tyrone, I forgot that Calvin was suppose to be stopping by for us to finish up some loose ends on the business that we have at hand. I will call him later on to reschedule our meeting.
I don't return Tyrone's call right away. I have to make up in my mind that this thing with Tyrone will not be about money. Although I know that it will be hard for me to separate the two. Most of my life I have been all about my money and I know how that has worked out for me. Now I am going to try something different and hopefully I won't regret it. I am going to take things slow with Tyrone and see how things turn out. Besides I have to let him sweat at least for a little while.

Goin to the Ball
I tell Calvin that I am going my own way and we will meet up in an hour if nothing is jumping off. Calvin doesn't like the idea that I don't want to be around him but he really doesn't have a choice. I start walking around and I notice a few fine brothers, that seem to be alone, sitting at a table holding a conversation. I decide to walk to the bar and see if anyone will get up enough nerves to approach me. I walk up to the bar and order a goose and cranberry. The bartender fixes my drink and tells me that it is taken care of. I smile a little bit because now I know that someone has noticed me out of this crowd but I don't know who it can be.
Sitting at the bar sipping on my drink enjoying the music. I look around and notice a few gentlemen sitting across the way from the bar staring at me. I smile and raise my drink to them and they do the same in return. I turn back around to face the bar and out of the corner of my eye, I can see there is this fine, dark, tall and handsome brother sitting next to me. I really don't know where he came from but he is sitting next to ME. “How do you like your drink?” he ask. I turn towards him and reply, “I suppose that you are the one that bought my drink? Thank you for the drink.” “Yes I did, I noticed you when you walked in and I just have to know your name.” “My name is Kenya,” I reply. He tells me that he finds my name to be beautiful. The fine, dark brother ask me if I would like to join him for the remaining of the evening so that we can get to know each other better. I look at him and tell him that it would be my pleasure. He grabs my hand, for me to get down out of my seat. We find us a table and continue to enjoy each others company.
I drill him like I am his drill sergeant. He doesn't mind though, he just answers the questions without any hesitations. I find out that his name is Tyrone; he is thirty three, never been married and has two kids. I am not happy that he has two kids because one thing that I know is that with two kids there is baby mama drama that comes along with it. I try to ignore the fact that he has two kids and concentrate on the positive things, like he is a broker and owns his own home. I am too classy of a woman, and make good money myself to mess with someone that is broke and can't contribute. After enjoying our conversation for a couple of hours we decide to go back to his place for breakfast, a night cap and continue where we left off.
This really can't be true. This guy is entirely too nice, something must be wrong with him I think to myself. I don't want to jump to any conclusions just yet about this one. I will give him a fair chance until he proves to me that he does not deserve it.
We pull up at his house and it is beautiful. I think to myself he has to live with someone else or this is just a hoax. I feel like this can be the one but I have to get to know his man better before I can make that kind of decision. Every time that I feel like a man can be the one, he always never seems to amaze me. He always manage to show his true colors. I will pray that this one may be the one and that things will work out.
Tyrone opens the door and I follow behind him. I know now that this man really makes good money just by how beautiful and immaculate his house is. “This is a gorgeous house,” I tell him. “Thank you my grandfather built this house for my grandmother, and when she died she left me the house. I just updated it and decided to move into it. It didn't make any sense to rent it out or to let it just sit here. Because this house meant so much to my grandparents, I knew that I had to do something and just letting it sit was not an option for me.” I can understand that, and I am not mad at him for doing it that way, especially when the house has been left to him and it is paid for. All he has to do is pay the property taxes on the house.
I realized at this point that this man really has his stuff together. He fix us some drinks and we sit on the couch and talk for hours just getting to know each other. It is five o'clock in the morning, when I realize what time it is. I have been over to this mans house, that I just met, all night. It doesn't surprise me because after the conversation, that we have had, I feel like we have known each other for years. I really enjoy this mans company it is different than being with Calvin or some of the other guys that I have come encountered with.

The beginning of a new life
It's every girls dream to be married at least once in her lifetime. To live the Cinderella fantasy. I always thought that I would be the first one married, before my brothers and sisters and most of my cousins but unfortunately life had something else in store for me.
Friday night and I'm getting dressed, getting ready to go to the hottest party in town. It's a black and white ball and I have been invited. This is the ball where the who's who will be attending. Part of me wants to stay home and have a girls night out, but I have to go to this ball and pretend that I am into it because this is the time for me to promote myself and my upcoming projects. The worst part of it all is that I have to attend this event alone. Hopefully I will meet someone while I'm there and if I don't, lord please don't make this event longer than I can handle.
I turn on the radio to see what's playing and find a station that is playing the quiet storm. Continuing to go through all the stations to see if there is anything else that can compete with the quiet storm. I don't find anything else on and I go back to the previous station. When I get back to the station I can here the sound of Luther and now I am ready to go take a nice hot bubble bath. As I'm soaking I can vaguely hear the phone ringing. I think to myself, I can get out the tub and see who it is, or I can lay here and enjoy the calming sound of the music playing in the background while the hot water gently hits up against my skin. At this moment I just want to relax and enjoy my serenity and who ever it is can leave a message.
After relaxing in the tub for an hour I get out and dry off. While drying off I hear the doorbell ring. I know that I am not expecting to have any company until tomorrow. All of a sudden someone is starting to ring my doorbell off the hook and it is driving me crazy. I slip on my robe and run down the stairs to see who it is. I look out and see that it is Calvin. I open the door and ask Calvin “What are you doing here? I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow.” “I come to take you to the ball, I'm your knight and shining armor,” he reply. I laugh and say “when my knight and shining armor come around, I will know it and he will not look like you.” Calvin don't like my response and I don't care if he does or not. I am determined not to mess my night up with this nonsense. “Calvin, you have to go. I can't go to the ball with you. I am going by myself and you can leave now.” I say. “Woman don't play with me I'm taking you to this ball and that's that,” he reply. I realize that it doesn't matter what I am saying, he is not going to go anywhere.
Not in the mood to argue, I let him in and go upstairs and finish getting dressed. While I am getting dressed Calvin is downstairs fixing us some drinks. I walk downstairs and I notice Calvin staring at the pictures on the mantle. “Why haven't you been married?” He ask. I don't want to get into this right now, but I know that he is not going to let this go. Instead of getting into a long drawn out discussion I give him my generic answer. “ Maybe marriage just isn't for me,” I reply. He looks at me with this crazy look and shakes his head and let's it go. The doorbell rings as we are finishing our drinks. It's the limo driver coming to take us to the ball.
Arriving at the ball is more than I ever imagined it to be. This is absolutely beautiful, but I really wish that I was by myself or at least with someone other than Calvin. Calvin is a nice guy but he can be annoying as hell and he has this way of getting on my last nerves. When we get in the ball I really hope that he goes his way and I will go mine. I don't want anyone thinking that we are a couple. I know that Calvin likes me but he has never got up enough guts to really come at me, because he knows that we will only remain as friends. Every now and then he will try to act like he's my boyfriend but only when it's convenient for him. When he feels like someone is trying to get at me that's when he wants to act like we are together but when he sees someone that he wants to holler at then we are business partners. Still no matter what, at the end of the day we will only be friends.
Walking in the ball dress to impress, I feel like all eyes are on me. I know that I have it going on and no one can tell me differently. I have on a long black dress that is cut low in the back and has the diamonds going across the swoop, it has the swoop neck in the front where it shows just enough cleavage. I am rocking this cold pair of black stiletto pumps with the diamonds on the side and going down the heel. Looking my best and ready to handle business, I am going to walk around and see who I can see or who can see me.

Drinking on the job
The day went on and Travon wasn't talking much to anybody and Zach and Stan were trying to figure out what they could do to pull Travon out of the funk that he was in. Larry had left early for the day and we didn't hae anyone to watch us for the rest of the day. I was getting ready to go over to Kinni's for lunch, like I did everyday.
Before I left Zach handed me twenty dollars and told me to go get them two twenty four pack of bud light. I wasn't going to do it because if they got caught, I didn't want to have any part of that. They kept begging and I seen how sad Travon was. I told them that I would stop at the liquor store on my way back but I was going to have lunch first. I left and went over to Kinni's. I left Kinni's, stopped by the liquor store, and picked up two twenty four packs of bud light and went back to work.
I got back to work, dropped the two cases of beer off to them, and went and parked my car. I went in the building to get the afternoon orders ready to go. They had finished all the orders and they had two hours before the next orders would print. They started drinking and before you knew it they had already killed a cased and they were working on the second case. They offered me a beer but I told them that I don't drink beer, but thanks for the offer anyways. I noticed that Travon had loosened up a lot from the way he was earlier in the day. I was glad to see that he was feeling better, but I knew that he was drunk and wasn't caring at all about what happened.

Making things right
Travon had enough of Kevina telling him that she was going to leave him; he started preparing himself for the break up. After everyone had gone home for the day, Travon would come down to the office and talk to me about what he should do about his marriage. Travon did not want to lose his family and I could tell that he really wanted to try to make his marriage work. I wasn't mad at him for trying to make it work out, but at least he wanted to do the right thing. Something most men don't know how to do.
I wasn't a therapist or anything but for some reason people always wanted to know my opinion and wanted my advice. I told Travon that maybe he should try to do something nice for his wife and show that he really does love her and that he doesn't want to lose her. He said that was a good idea and we started planning their romantic evening. He asked me what my perfect date would consist of. I told him that my perfect date would be taking a walk under the stars holding hands with the one that I love and just talking about everything, nothing in particular but about anything other than just work. We would have a nice candle light dinner with some soft music. After we ate dinner, we would dance a while and then go take a nice hot bubble bath together and just hold each other and remember why we fell in love. After a nice hot bubble bath we would make lover under the moon until the sun came up. Travon liked the sound of that. He told me that he would try it and see where it gets him and he would let me know.

Who is the new girl?
I knew that Travon and Zach were married, but Zach was a flirt and he flirted with everybody although his wife did anything and everything that he told her to do. Zach's wife Tamara would come to the job from time to time to check on him. I would always tease Zach and Travon about them being hand pecked. They would get angry and start talking that I'm the man crap to me, but I knew the truth. The first time Zach's wife met me she didn't like me. Tamara called Kevina, Travon's wife, and told her that there was a new girl working up at the job and she is black. Kevina didn't believe her, she called up to the job and I answered the phone. She asked to speak to Travon. I transferred the call to him and let that be. Kevina called about an hour later and I answered the phone again. She asked me who I was and I told her, she said okay and said it was nice meeting me and then she hung up.
Not paying too much attention to them and their personal lives, they started talking to me as their friend. We all started becoming close and it was like we were family.

Don't do office romance
Office romance is never good, and I didn't want to have another office romance because it started too much confusion. I had already done that before and it didn't work. I was not going to go back down that path, but you never know what God might have in store for you.
God had blessed me with a good job, and I was determined to stay with this job. This had been the longest that I had ever worked at any job. I had been working at this job going on three years and I was glad to say that I held a job that long.
My boss and I were hanging out a lot but there was nothing more to it than just that. Yes he wanted to get with me but I wasn't going to give him more power over me. I was the one that held the power not the other way around. The first time I met Larry, I thought that he was weak but I was glad to have a black supervisor. Larry wasn't much a supervisor and everyone ran over him and did whatever they wanted to do. My side of the warehouse, ran well everyday because I had a couple of good workers but they played entirely too much. I worked with all men and they were crazy all the time. Two of the guys had wives and I knew wasn't anything popping off. The other guy had a girlfriend and he wasn't my type.

Their fight our fight
Pulling up at the bar I noticed that Derrick hadn't got there yet. I went in the bar anyways and waited on him to show up. For a while I didn't think that he was going to show but about thirty minutes later he walked in the door. When he got there he hugged and kissed me and told me why he was late. Derrick said that Patrick needed to talk to someone and wouldn't let him leave. I understood because when my friends needed to talk to me they didn't want me to leave either. We were drinking, laughing and talking about the fight because we did not expect it to go the way that it had. After having a few drinks we went home to chill out. We got home and we were still laughing about the fight and then Jack kicked in and Derrick started tripping.
Derrick had taken their fight and made it our fight. I could have sworn that we were having a great time but because he didn't like something that I said he wanted to fight. We went pass arguing. I didn't want to fight or argue with him and I told him that I was leaving and going home for the evening to get some rest, something he should be doing. When I said that Derrick ran up on me in a rage and grabbed me by my neck and told me not to talk to him like that and that I am to do what he tells me to do. Looking at me and telling that I was not afraid, Derrick put me down and then kissed me on the forehead and told me that he was sorry.

Stop coming to my house
The day Reece popped up Elenor told him that he could not come by anymore because she had a man and he didn't want him to come over anymore. Reece was not going to let any man tell him what he could and could not do. He was going to continue to come over and if he didn't like it then he needed to say something to him instead of her. Elenor had told Patrick what had went down but he was determined that he was going to make her do something that she had no control of.
Derrick had called me and told me that he and Patrick were going over to Elenor's to fix the garage door. I was going to meet him over to Elenor's I called Elenor to make sure that she was at home or someone was there to let us in. I was talking to her and I noticed that the tone in her voice had changed. I asked Elenor what was wrong with her and she told me that Reece just pulled up and she didn't know what to do. I tried to get her to calm down and get herself together. Derrick and I pulled up at the same time. I had not told Derrick that Reece had just showed up. Patrick saw Reece's car and he jumped out of Derrick's truck and ran up on the porch. "What are you doing at my house?" Patrick asked Reece. Reece turned and looked at Patrick and gave this slight chuckle then turned back around to Elenor and continued saying what he was saying. This made Patrick mad and ready to fight. When I walked in the house I could feel the tension but I didn't care. I just wanted to make sure that my sister was okay because she was pregnant and didn't want them to fight around her. Patrick told Reece to come outside because he was going to show him that he meant what he said. We knew that Reece was drunk when he came over but this was his time to show us just what kind of man he was made of.

Don't mess up the birthday
For my birthday Derrick threw me a birthday party. I was shocked that he had time to do this but I was glad that he was doing this for me on my day.
Derrick got me a suite at the Hilton, on the concierge level. He had taken me shopping, before we checked in to the hotel. I was ready to lay down for a little while, before we went out that night.
Elenor had called me, while I was resting, and told me that Patrick had taken off in her car and he hadn't came back yet and we would have to come pick her up or she wasn't going to go to my party. I was not going to have everyone at my party except for my mother. When I pulled up in the yard three hours later Patrick still had not shown up. I was angry and I started yelling at Derrick because I had already told him that Patrick was a crack head. The entire night while everyone was having fun, Elenor could not stop wondering where her car was. After the club we all went to breakfast and dropped Elenor off at home. Patrick still had not come back and she was going to call the police, and report her car stolen. Derrick told her not to call the police but to give him a chance to talk to him. Elenor trusted Derrick and told him that she would give him until morning to bring her car back. That night Derrick was going to go look for Patrick but I was not going to let him because it was my day and no one was going to mess that up for me, especially not Patrick.

Mary J. take me away
I put on Mary J., rolled a couple of joints, ran a hot bath and relaxed. I was getting ready to get in the tub and the phone rang. Lord only knew that I couldn't take any more drama for the evening. I didn't answer the phone because I didn't want to be bothered. I turned the phone to vibrate so that I couldn't hear it ring and got in the tub for some relaxation. Relaxation was what I really needed and I knew that Mary J. would take me to the point where I needed to be. When I got out of the tub I checked the phone to see how many calls that I missed. Derrick had called me a couple of times and I was glad that I didn't answer but I was surprised that he didn't come by. I also saw that Dre had called me a couple of times. I saw his number, and my heart lit up because I knew that he would make all the pressures of the day go away.
Knowing that Dre was in town made me happy. Dre told me that he was at his sisters and he wanted to see me. I told him that he could come on over to see me. Dre didn't have his car because Lloyd was in it and had gone to see his mama. He asked me to come over to his sisters. I really didn't want to go anywhere but I was not going to miss my chance to see him. Running around the house, looking for some clothes and trying to get out of there before Derrick came by, was exhausting.

Livin life with or without you
While Derrick was doing all of his lying, I was making plans to live my life with our without him. I just wanted to live my life to the fullest and not worry about what happens in it. If I was going to be with Derrick it was going to be totally up to him.
Derrick always had this thing that he wanted to play match maker. No matter what I said to him he always felt like everyone needed love. If anyone should know about hooking up it would definitely be him because these days he was getting too much love. To him this was all a game and I was wondering when the games were going to end.
I wanted to have a get together because I hadn't talked to my family in a while. we invited everyone over to the house. Derrick had gotten a call from an old friend that he grew up with. Patrick wasn't doing very well. He told Derrick that he hadn't eaten in a week and he was living in his car in the park. Derrick was not going to let a friend be out in the street. While I was in the kitchen cooking, Elenor came and told me that Derrick had just pulled up and he had a friend with him. I wasn't sure who Derrick had with him because he never mentioned to me that he was bringing someone with him.

Fan appreciation letter
To my wonderful fans,
This month marks the month that I started promoting Livin the fast life online. It has not been an easy journey but it has been a great journey.
When I started this blog I only have five people following me and reading it everyday. A year later those same five people are still following me and reading the daily discussion everyday. I want to say thank you to those five people for believing in me and enjoying the daily post.
It has been an honor to see it grow over the year. Livin the fast life has went from five people to over three thousand people a month. It is steady growing and this lets me know that even though you may not post, you are still visiting and reading the daily discussion.
Thank you so very much for reading and enjoying my story. It is not over there are still four chapters left, and I hope that each and everyone of you continue to come everyday, and join me in the daily discussion. I couldn't do this without your help and support. Now that it is growing and spreading and people are listening it has inspired me to do bigger and better things.
My goals is to continue to keep it real and give you what you are looking for in a book. This is the first book of a four part series. The Fast Life Chronicles will keep coming to you stronger and better with each book. I will not just stop there, I will give you more books to read after this series.
Continue to follow me on facebook, twitter, google buzz, blogspot and blogbooks. This has been a wonderful experience, and a life long journey that I will continue on. Thank you for all your support and for being the best fans in the world that a girl can have. Keep spreading the word and continue to live life to the fullest. Always put God first and live your dreams no matter what anyone says. You have to believe in yourself.
