How will I escape.....?

Living with Elenor was not easy but I had to do what I had to do until I could plan my get away.

I was working for Newport Fashions as a Manager and I met some really nice guys but this guy Nick stood out to me.  Nick was really nice and kind.  He seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders.

On Valentine's day, Nick brought me a dozen of roses, a box of chocolates and a cute teddy bear.  I wasn't expecting to get anything because I was still thinking about Jacquai.  I was determined to give someone else a chance so I got myself together and started hanging out with Nick.

Nick and I were different in a lot of ways.  He was fun to hang out with most of the time.  Nick was a Sagittarius and very set in his ways but I was okay with that because I was also set in my own ways but I could be flexible.

I wasn't sure where we were going and to who's house we were going to.  I sat back and enjoyed the ride.  We pulled up to this house and I though it was Chad's chick's house but when we got inside I see Sarina and her boyfriend Malcolm.  Jacquai took my hand and said follow me.  I went with him and we went in this room and when he turned on the lights he had my pictures up everywhere with rose petals on the bed with a stuffed animal and a card with my name on it.  "So is this where you are staying at now?" I asked him.  "Yes, I wanted to surprise you."  I was definitely surprised.  We got blowed, drunk and played cards and dominoes, talked a lot of shit and then passed out.  Jacquai and I woke up about ten o'clock and smoked another blunt.  We were talking in him room and heard this knock on the door.  Nobody answered the door so then the knock started to come around to every window.  Chad looked out his window when he heard the knock.  He didn't see anyone so he got dressed got the heater and went outside to look around.  He walked up on Reece and put his gun to his head.  "Nigga you got three seconds to explain your business or they are coming to pick you body up." Chad said.  "I'm looking for Kenya," Reece said nervously. "Kenya's not here so get your ass away from my house or the next time you won't be so lucky.  God just saved your life nigga,"  Chad said.  Reece left and went and told Elenor that I had some nigga's threaten him.  Jacquai told me that he wanted me to stay with him so I did.  I did not go home for three days.  Every time I thought about going home something was telling me to stay away and that's exactly what I did.  Jacquai took me shopping and took care of me, I didn't want for anything.  Jacquai and I were getting tighter and stronger every day.

On the move

As I was getting ready to go hang out with Jacquai I could hear Elenor and Reece arguing.  They were arguing about some woman she had seen Reece with.  Reece was telling her that it was nothing and she had nothing to worry about.  I already knew he was lying because Theresa had already told me that she had seen Reece with this other woman and that they had been hanging together a lot and she had been doing things for him.  Everybody at the hotel knew that Reece was having an affair.  Reece was determined that he was going to carry the lie out as long as he could.  All I knew was that I wasn't going to get in the middle of that in fact I didn't want to be in any part of that at all.  "Where are you going?"  Elenor asked.  "I'm going with Jacquai to hang out.."  "Where are you going to be at?"  "I don't know, wherever he decides to take me."  I turned around and started to walk off.  "You're not going anywhere," Reece said.  I turned and looked at him.  "What do you mean I'm not going anywhere?"  "If you can't tell us where you're going than you are not going."  "To the movies," I said in anger and walked out the door.  I started walking down the street and before I could get down the block Jacquai was pulling up and Reece was coming down the street.  I seen Reece coming down the street.  I ran and jumped in the car and told him to go and keep driving.  Jacquai was confused but he did like I asked.  "Where are we going baby?"  I asked.  "To this new little spot that I know you will like."  "Make sure that we are not being followed before you go anywhere that we don't want anyone to know about." "Ok baby I'll do that," he said.  I was looking in the side view mirror because I just felt like we were being followed.  We drove around town for about an hour.

I don't want you......

Sandra tried very hard to get with Man but he wasn't having it.  Man was going to avoid being with Sandra as long as he could.  He didn't even want to hold a conversation with Sandra because he said that he didn't want to give her any ideas.  By the end of the night Sandra was practically throwing herself at him but Man was standing his ground and he refused to be broken.  Jacquai and I could not stop laughing at them the whole day.

Man was ready to go home and Jacquai had to wait on his mom to get home so that he could take Man home.  Man was ready to go home and he was determined that he was going home so that he could get away from Sandra.  It was not that easy to get rid of Sandra, she offered to take him home.  He really didn't want her to take him anywhere but he gave in and allowed her to take him home because he was missing out on some money, and he would rather be making money than spending time with someone that he didn't even like.

Locked Down

Jacquai was very outgoing and stayed in trouble but he was very attentive to me.  Man and Jacquai were best friends for a long time.  When Man gave Jacquai my phone number I couldn't believe it because Man was so protective and would not allow any of his friends to talk to me.  I knew then that Jacquai was different he wasn't like the other guys that I had dated in the past.  Jacquai wanted to be a bad boy but when he got popped and had to do a year in the boys home, he didn't want to be a gangsta any more.

Theresa would come get me when she would go see Jacquai so that I could see him as well.  I didn't like to leave Jacquai but at least I got to spend the whole day and sometimes the weekend with him.  We had some good times because although he was locked down he was still able to touch me and hold my hand.  Jacquai always made me laugh and filled my heart with so much joy.  He was sensitive to my needs and to my feelings and he always tried to make sure that I had what I needed.  I couldn't wait until he was going to be released so that we could start doing things together like couples do.

Does Love come in different forms?

Today is going to be a good day because this is the first day that I will get to actually meet the man that I have been holding long conversations with, over the phone, for the last three months going on four months.

I have been talking to this man named Jacquai and we met through my brother Man.  I had not gotten the chance to meet him yet but today was the day.  This would be the first day that I would know if the mystery man that I have been talking to over the phone for months is really the one for me.

Jacquai and I talk on the phone ever day for hours just getting to know each other.  he is from Chicago his birthday is two days after mine which makes us the same sign, Leo, he has an older sister and he is the baby, and is all bout his money.  We had so many things in common that I couldn't believe this was real so I couldn't wait to meet him.  Every time that we would try to hook up something would happen and we never got the chance.

A boyz in the hood moment

The next day his boys had gotten word of who had shot Man and they were planning on riding out.  I was not going to let them leave without me going with them but they would not let me go with them because they said that if anything happened to me Man would kill them and they were not going to take that chance.  I stopped to think about what they had just said to me and started laughing because they were more scared of Man than the dudes they were looking for.  The dude that had shot Man was bold and brave that he was telling everyone that he had killed my brother not knowing that Man was still alive and out for a vengeance.  When the dude who tried to kill Man found out he was still alive he had sent some of his boys up to the hospital to finish the job not knowing that Man was on twenty four hour security there was at least four people up there at all times and we took turns.  They couldn't get Sabrina and I to leave his side we were not going anywhere.  The only time we left was to go take a shower and change clothes and then back to the hospital.  Any time one of us left we were escorted to the house just to make sure that no one was following us or that we were targeted.  As the days passed Man got better and stronger and he knew that he was going to have to lay low for a while but he was okay with that because this would give him a chance to spend some real time with his new family.

Someone tried to kill Man

Six months after Brendan was born Man got shot six times.  I was in school that day and got home kind of late and some friends had been trying to call me but I was not home so when I got home I had a ton of messages.  Before I could pick up the phone to return any of the messages the phone was ringing and it was my home boy William. "Where have you been? I've been trying to reach you for the last three hours." "I was at school. Why?" "There was a shooting today by the high school and it was your brother." I dropped the phone and screamed.  Elenor ran in the living room to see what was wrong and why I had screamed the way I did.  I could not move because I knew something was wrong.  Earlier that day I started to feel funny and I felt like I couldn't move my body and picked up the phone and said "Hello, who is this?"  "Mrs. Elenor shot earlier today."  "Thanks for calling Will I will make sure that she gets to the hospital."  They hung up the phone and Elenor went to get her purse.  I cried and prayed all the way to the hospital that God wouldn't take my brother.

Sabrina got a secret

When Man got out of jail he went back to doing the same ole shit.  He didn't care about anything except for making that bread and he was determined that he was going to do that anyway he knew how, other than working for the man, he would say.

Sabrina found out that she was pregnant and Man started hustling harder.  Sabrina did not want to tell her mother that she was pregnant so she stayed as far away from her as she possibly could.  I seen her even more and we built a bond that not even Man could break.  Even though Man was treating Sabrina dirty she was still standing by him.  She was determined that she was not going to let anything or anyone get in the way of her love for Man and she didn't.  When Sabrina told her mama that she was pregnant her mother was down the hall about to do the same thing.  Sabrina gave birth to a healthy baby boy and named him Brendan.

Every man needs a woman to stand by him

I always wondered if Man would find that perfect girl and settle down instead of all those chicken heads he was messing with. Still in the streets doing his thang he met this chick named Sabrina.  He had dated Sabrina for about six months before he decided to bring her home to meet the family.  He was always careful about the chicks he would bring home to meet us so I knew that this had to be the one or he was going to try to make her the one.

Sabrina is beautiful, she is five foot ten, Indian and Black, green eyes with blond hair and she was thick.  The first time I met her and talked to her she wasn't sure if she should like me and that was okay with me because I thought to myself "man this girl is book smart but she is kind of dingy."  Sabrina was very nice though she didn't really talk a lot but I understood it was her first time meeting me and she was nervous.  Why women are nervous when they first meet me I have no idea but they are and that's okay with me because I want them to be.

Grindin to make it

Destiny had three more children by Damian and even though it got hard sometimes Destiny still held it down.  Damian wouldn't keep a job and Destiny was tired of having to do it all by herself even though she had been doing it for years.  Damian was very jealous of Destiny, he didn't like the fact that she was a better hustler than he was.

Whenever something had to be taken care of, Destiny knew how to make that money.  She was good at doing hair.  If you needed a weave, wig, braids, perm, extensions whatever you needed, she can do and she is cheaper and better than getting it done in the salon.  It wouldn't take you all day to get your hair done either, depending on what you want done.

Destiny held down a full time job, working for an insurance company.  She was the lead person in the office.  She was making good money, while Damian still wanted to be a hustler.  Damian was never a good hustler but he always thought he was doing something.  He was a penny hustler, someone who wanted to be big but only makes change.
